We all know that smoking is not good for our health. Many of us don't smoke as we want our body to be in good health. We do our best to be healthy. We eat right, get enough sleep and exercise. Many people don't smoke but some may still be exposed to cigarette smoke due to second hand smoke. There maybe one member of our family who smokes or a co-worker. It is normal to get mad at these people as they are not just endangering their lives but ours also. Second hand smoke is equally dangerous to smoker's direct cigarette smoke.

The smoke that cigarettes emit contains carcinogens that people around them can inhale. Every time they pop that cigarette, the second hand smoke emits at least 40 chemicals that are harmful to our body like formaldehyde, carbon monoxide, to name a few. When we are around them, we can also inhale these substances which are very much dangerous to our health. For long term exposure, it may cause some respiratory diseases like lung cancer, nasal sinus cavity cancer, asthma in children, among others.
