Ever since my husband Bruce and I moved to Manhattan, getting our daily exercise in has never been more enjoyable. Cruising down the avenues and seeing the sites keeps each walk exciting and new! With all the people and activity, it always feels more like a show than an actual exercise session.
Bruce and I moved to Manhattan from a quiet town in North Carolina because we decided that instead of settling down during these golden years of retirement, we wanted to speed up and do as much as possible—all the time! With all that we have encountered in just a short time, we can tell that this was the right move for us. There’s just so much to do here, and it truly is something to behold. Some people say you have options overload in NYC, but we’re enjoying being surrounded by advertising and culture and the like.
In fact, just the other day as we were walking down Broadway, Bruce saw a sign for HearingAids.Miracle-Ear and it reminded him that he needed to go get his hearing aid replaced later in the week. I’m sure he would have never remembered otherwise. Anyway, we look forward to turning every day of our retirement into a little adventure.
